Second Lieutenant Ronnie Cowan, platoon commander, 15th Battalion The Royal Scots, wounded at Croisilles on 21 or 22 March 1918, aged 19. His younger brother.
Second Lieutenant Robert Craig Cowan, 2nd Battalion The Royal Scots, killed in action near Neuve Chapelle on 24 October 1914, aged 20. His first cousin.
Captain Jack Cowan, company commander, 11th Battalion The Royal Scots, killed in action at Longueval on 14 July 1916, aged 20. His other first cousin, Robert’s younger brother.
Second Lieutenant Malcolm Bland, platoon commander, 1st Battalion The King’s Royal Rifle Corps, missing on 23 March 1918 later declared killed in action on that day, aged 19. My great uncle on my mother’s side.
